A 1800 SPLINE WTS: The A 1800 SPLINE wheels are now available as an
aero-optimized wheel tire system (WTS), mounted with the new AERO 111
tire in 26 mm width in the front and a Continental GP 5000 STR in 28 mm
width in the rear.

An all-new aerodynamic and light rim shape, 30 mm height, 20 mm inner width and hidden nipples are the ingredients to let you reach new top speeds with ease.

Pushing the aerodynamic advantage further are the DT aero comp II straightpull spokes, featuring a redesigned shape, making them faster than their predecessor.

As a tire can make or break aerodynamic performance, it was a logical next step to combine the aerodynamically optimized wheels with the ideal tire to make a top performing system.
Ratchet LN is the entry level Ratchet System and replaces the pawl freehub system. Ratchet LN allows DT Swiss hubs with pawl systems to be upgraded to Ratchet Systems.
The interface between spoke and nipple is highly important for the durability of a wheel. DT Swiss continuously improves and fine-tunes the DT Swiss nipple range in line with the different requirements.

The current DT Swiss wheels are tubeless-ready and come with mounted tubeless rim tape and corresponding valves. For conversion, you will need a tubeless-capable tire (optimal: UST) and tire sealant. You can find both at an official dealer. Our How To video will take you through step-by-step assembly.
If you have previously ridden your bike with a tube or if the tape no longer sticks properly to the rim, we recommend that you replace the rim tape as a precaution.
How to attach the tubeless rim tape:
1. Measure the inside width of the rim.
2. The tubeless rim tape should be approx. 2 mm wider than the rim and can be bought from a specialist store.
3. Apply the tubeless rim tape. Depending on the rim/tire combination, it may be helpful to apply two or three layers of tubeless rim tape to optimally seal the rim bed.

The tire should be pumped in line with the manufacturer's instructions, in order to ensure optimum rolling resistance.
Note: This can vary depending on the tire manufacturer and model. The tire pressure impacts both the ride comfortability and stability of the wheel. See our tire pressure table for an overview of maximum tire pressures depending on tire and rim width.
In cycling, rim height significantly impacts the aerodynamics, maneuverability and weight of the wheel. Basically, the higher the rim, the greater the aerodynamic advantage. The lower the rim, the more agile and maneuverable the handling.
