The DT Swiss Tubeless range is completed with the DT Swiss Tubeless
Sealant. In order to achieve the optimal combination of the individual
tubeless components, DT Swiss now offers two pressure-specific tubeless
sealants to ensure constant pressure in the tires.
The lightweight alloy valve saves 40% weight compared to brass valves.
The integrated valve tool in the top cap saves time and effort when it
comes to screwing & unscrewing the valve core during tubeless
installation. The conical valve base ensures a sealed fit. The DT Swiss
tubeless valve perfectly matches DT Swiss rims, to ensure a perfect seal
for long, hassle-free rides.

The DT Swiss tubeless-ready rim tape also has benefits that make it an
indispensable part of the bike workshop. The structure allows for easy
mounting via taut placement on the rim profile and with a high fixing
glue, it will stay on for a long time.
The DT Swiss Center Lock adapter allows to mount a 6-hole disc brake on
Center Lock hubs, suitable for road and MTB bikes equipped with a
quickrelease or a through axle. The Hybrid version has a integrated
magnet and is compatible with most standard speed sensors.

The Tubeless Sealant completes the DT Swiss Tubeless range. It joins the valve, the rim tape and of course the tubeless ready rims to offer a number of advantages over the conventional combination of tube and tire.
Tubeless enables to ride without risking snakebites, the tire can be run with lower pressures providing better grip. The lower pressure also results in a more comfortable ride. Eliminating the tube means there is no friction between tube and tire and therefore less rolling resistance when the tire rolls over the ground and obstacles. If tubeless sealant is used, the tire can self-seal stings and small cuts.

Different intended use, different Tubeless Sealants...
Our Low Pressure tubeless sealant, works best in a pressure range of up to 4.5 bar, and is intended for use in mountain biking and gravel. It will instantly seal holes in the tire up to 6mm.
Our High Pressure is intended for practices where the pressures in the tire are between 4 and 7.5 bars, such as road or track. It will immediately fix cuts up to 3 mm thanks to thicker sealing particles than on a classic sealant.

The high-pressure tubeless sealant is primarily intended for systems that are run at high pressure, such as those found on road bike tires. The low-pressure sealant is made for tires with a larger air volume that are ridden at a lower pressure, often in off-road practice.

Die aktuellen DT Swiss Laufräder sind Tubeless Ready und werden mit montiertem Tubeless-Felgenband und den entsprechenden Ventilen geliefert. Für die Umrüstung benötigst du einen tubeless-fähigen Reifen (UST optimal) und Dichtmilch. Beides kannst du im Fachhandel kaufen. Unser How-to Video zeigt dir die Montage Schritt für Schritt.
Solltest du dein Fahrrad bisher mit Schlauch gefahren haben oder klebt das Tape nicht mehr satt an der Felge, empfehlen wir das Felgenband vorsorglich zu ersetzen.
Vorgehen für die Montage des Tubeless-Felgenbandes:
1. Felgeninnenbreite messen
2. Das Tubeless-Felgenband sollte ca. 2 mm breiter sein als die Felge und kann bei einem Fachhändler gekauft werden.
3. Tubeless-Felgenband applizieren. Je nach Felgen/Reifenkombination, kann es helfen zwei bis drei Schichten Tubeless-Felgenband zu montieren, um das Felgenbett optimal abzudichten.

Wenn das Ventil oder das Tubelesstape nicht korrekt montiert ist, kann Luft oder Dichtmilch in den Felgenhohlraum gelangen und im Nahtbereich wieder austreten. Vergewissere dich, dass das Ventil gut sitzt, das Tubelesstape flach aufliegt und das gesamte Felgenbett inkl. der inneren Seitenwand vom Tubelesstape abgedeckt wird.
Ist der Spalt zwischen dem Reifen und dem Felgenband zu gross, dichtet die Dichtmilch nicht schnell genug ab. Hier kann es helfen, eine zweite oder dritte Lage Tubelesstape zu montieren und so die Passung zwischen Reifen und Felge etwas enger zu machen.
Berücksichtige zudem, dass für das erste Tubeless-Setup ausreichend Dichtmilch verwendet werden muss! Finde Herstellerangaben auf deiner Dichtmilch.
Um einen optimalen Rollwiderstand zu erreichen, sollte der Reifen gemäss den Herstellerangaben aufgepumpt werden.
Achtung: Dies kann je nach Reifenhersteller und Modell unterschiedlich sein! Der Luftdruck beeinflusst sowohl den Fahrkomfort und die Stabilität des Laufrades aus. Eine Übersicht zum maximalen Luftdruck in Abhängigkeit von Reifen- und Felgenbreite findest du in unserer Luftdruck-Tabelle.
