The new DF technology is an anti-pedal kickback device simplified to the max. The DF technology releases the pedal kickback at the point where it occurs: in the freehub.

What may look like a standard hub is actually hiding a dynamo. In collaboration with Shutter Precision, their SP PL-7 generator was smoothly integrated into a tailored DT Swiss hub shell.

The Ratchet DEG system was designed by taking a different angle than the common high engagement freehub systems, to deliver a smaller engagement angle and maximized reliability.

The Ratchet EXP OS is the lightest Hybrid freehub system from DT Swiss. Based on the Ratchet EXP System, it has been adapted to withstand the forces generated by eMTB use, ensuring reliability.

Ratchet LN is the entry level Ratchet System and replaces the pawl freehub system. Ratchet LN allows DT Swiss hubs with pawl systems to be upgraded to Ratchet Systems.

Ratchet EXP is the lightest freehub system from DT Swiss. The fusion of the ratchet and the threaded ring in the Ratchet EXP hub increases durability while decreasing weight.

The Ratchet System is the first of this type of freehub system for DT Swiss. This patented freewheel system, which features high-precision star ratchets, guarantees top performance and reliability.

These ball bearings were developed by DT Swiss in order to reduce the rolling resistance to an absolute minimum. The balls are made from an extremely tough, wear- and corrosion-resistant ceramic material.

OXiC is a process in which a ceramic coating is electrochemically applied to the rim surface, making it extremely hard and wear resistant.

A wider rim provides improved tire support which allows lower pressure and leads to less rolling resistance on rough tracks.

An industry disrupting rim manufacturing process and a layer-by-layer nondestructive inspection of every product creates light yet durable rims for a long-lasting riding experience.

Spokes & Nipples

SPOKES & NIPPLES

DT Swiss spokes stand for durability and precision, thanks to their unique production process which ensures they are lightweight and durable.

The interface between spoke and nipple is highly important for the durability of a wheel. DT Swiss continuously improves and fine-tunes the DT Swiss nipple range in line with the different requirements.

The PHR system increases the load-bearing surface of the nipples on the rim and reduces localized stresses. Peak loads are reduced allowing to build the rim even lighter.

DT Pro Lock is a process where a dual compound, adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel builds.

Every wheel from DT Swiss is built by hand. On its own, the concept of building by hand is not alone a guarantee to build a stable, durable wheel. Knowledge and, above all, experience is required to build a high-quality wheelset.
