The modification of the rim profile as well as the addition of material at specific places allows for increased resistance to impacts and pinch flats.
Size options
Ride in full 29”, full 27.5” or mullet. The FR 571 is available in both sizes and 32 spoke count.

The FR 571 comes with brass nipples, resistant enough for rough handling.

The current DT Swiss wheels are tubeless-ready and come with mounted tubeless rim tape and corresponding valves. For conversion, you will need a tubeless-capable tire (optimal: UST) and tire sealant. You can find both at an official dealer. Our How To video will take you through step-by-step assembly.
If you have previously ridden your bike with a tube or if the tape no longer sticks properly to the rim, we recommend that you replace the rim tape as a precaution.
How to attach the tubeless rim tape:
1. Measure the inside width of the rim.
2. The tubeless rim tape should be approx. 2 mm wider than the rim and can be bought from a specialist store.
3. Apply the tubeless rim tape. Depending on the rim/tire combination, it may be helpful to apply two or three layers of tubeless rim tape to optimally seal the rim bed.

As wider rims have developed, so have wider tires. However, the different tire and rim widths are not universally compatible. Essentially: The wider the rim, the wider the tires that can be fitted.
