Product details

Turn that nervous anticipation of riding new lines into a sense of relief with the new FR 1500 CLASSIC. These confidence inspiring wheels feature a new rim profile, enabling them to be lighter while improving their resistance to impacts and pinch flats. To reduce the weight even more, the front wheel spoke count has been reduced from 32 to 28, thus increasing their responsiveness to direction changes. All this built around a hub that can already boast several World Cup victories: the 240.

  • Hub type 240 with Ratchet EXP 36
  • Rim Aluminum, Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC
  • Inner width 30 mm
  • Spokes DT competition®

"Lightweight wheels are really important to us because the rotational mass of the wheel has a significant impact on how the bike handles, particularly during cornering, acceleration, and deceleration. Therefore, having these new wheels that are lighter yet stronger is truly beneficial."

"I have to say, we were impressed with the new 1500's in Fort William, we all used the same wheels through the event with the addition of a set solely for race runs of course. A couple of them could now do with a rim swap but none over the weekend and that's very impressive as I am sure you realise."

Kael Foale

My favourite DT product this year has been the FR 1500 CLASSIC wheelset. It comes equipped with all the best components with a 240 hub and FR 541 rims which is a high performance and reliable combo.

MATT BEER

«Overall, the DT Swiss FR 1500 wheelset has been the most reliable and trustworthy alloy option I’ve ridden. They’ve lasted through a solid chunk of the summer aboard a downhill bike without asking for much in the way of maintenance.»
