ProduCt CHECK

How can I check the test status of my product?

All customers can check whether their product has been inspected and approved as part of the recall by scanning the QR code.

If you are having difficulty scanning QR codes, below are some tips on how to improve QR code scanning

You also have the option of manually checking your 12-digit DT Swiss ID. Where to find this DT Swiss ID and how to perform a manual check is explained below.

QR Code

To verify that your product has been tested and approved, you must scan the QR code. This QR code contains the complete 12-digit serial number that is uniquely assigned to your product and can be queried. The final product inspection is ONLY possible by scanning the QR code on your DT Swiss ID.

DECODING OF QR-CODE WITH A MOBILE DEVICE
  1. Clean the lens of your camera with a soft cloth if it is dirty.
  2. Clean the DT Swiss iD so the sticker has as much contrast as possible – black and white.
  3. Place you wheel into a fixed position, try to minimize reflections on the stickers to a minimum, possibly with additional light sources or shading.
  4. Open your standard camera application.
  5. Zoom to about 2x.
  6. Place your smartphone to about 10cm from the DT Swiss iD.
  7. Make sure your camera sets the focus so the QR-code is in focus.
  8. Start to slowly change the angle of reading from frontal to about 45° in both directions.

If the above steps do not lead to any success, you have the following options:

Manual check

In addition to scanning the QR code, you can also check the status of your wheel by manually entering your 12-digit DT Swiss ID.

Where can you find this 12-digit DT Swiss ID?

This ID cannot be found or seen on your product. You have received a recall confirmation (pro forma invoice) as part of the review of your product. This was included in printed form in the shipping boxes when you received your product(s) back.

Please use this 12-digit DT Swiss ID for manual verification.

Here you will find a sample confirmation from Switzerland. Documents from other service locations may differ in the sender address.

If you cannot find a 12-digit number in your DT Swiss ID as shown in the example, manual verification on the website is not possible. It is also not possible to determine this ID.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the recall email address provided on your document.
